We are very excited to be hosting nonfiction writer, Kelly Milner-Halls at Hedden! She will be at our school all day on Tuesday, December 14th. She writes a wide variety of nonfiction topics from mummies, albino animals, dinosaurs, and Sasquatch, to a recent book that has received much acclaim,
Saving the Baghdad Zoo.
Ms. Milner-Halls will be doing assemblies and writing workshops with our different grade levels. Students will find her very engaging, and the idea of writing nonfiction about unusual topics a fresh fun idea!
In the library we've been looking at many of her books during our literacy lessons in anticipation of her arrival!
